Neutral Fall Open Shelves

I was enjoying the dried hydrangeas on my coffee nook shelf so much that I almost decided not to change them up for fall but in the end, once all the other areas surrounding the coffee nook had gotten a touch of fall, it started to feel left out and nobody wants sulking coffee nook shelves!

Honestly I didn’t change much from how they were with the hydrangeas, just tucking in some fall leaves and pumpkins here and there and maybe the odd turkey.

I had to find a spot for the sign I made from part of an old desk too. I mean, there are some things you just have to use every chance you get since it only comes around once each year.

These “books” are always in this exact spot because they’re actually just fake books. They are hollow boxes that house my internet router and modem.

This turkey candle holder used to have a mate but alas it succumbed to some sort of rare disease (it was dropped on the floor by one of my kids) a few years ago and now this poor fellow is all alone. He doesn’t feel so lonely with some good books to read though.

Just keeping it simple this year. Sometimes simple is good and I have a lot of clutter in my life right now so I’m sort of craving more simplicity and space to breathe.

Until next time,
