French Vintage Friday: Live Plants

I’ve never been to France. It’s been on my bucket list as far back as I can remember but I haven’t made it yet. When I think of France I picture a lot of old cobblestone streets lined with living things. Plants everywhere climbing the walls of the buildings, in pots on stairs and porches and hanging from the railings of balconies.

Probably because I’ve seen so many photos that depict that.

I love all the color but also the sense of things being so alive because of all the plants.

I decided it’s WAY past time for me to bring a bit of that feeling into my home.

I’ve always had plants in my home ever since I was a small child. My momma loved houseplants and there wasn’t a room devoid of them. She had some huge ones and they were always healthy and well cared for. I learned at a young age.

When I first moved into this house I got some plants and all was well until I had to be away for a few months and when I returned every plant was dead. I don’t know why but I never replaced them.

One by one in the last month I’ve started adding some plants into my homeโ€ฆ..fingers crossed I remember how to keep them alive!

It feels more alive in here already!

Until next time,
