I love lanterns. I have made wooden ones, kept my eyes open for vintage ones, and admired many a lantern I have seen on other peoples websites and in their homes. Unfortunately most of the time they are kind of pricey, especially the really large ones.
I really lucked out and when I found this little one for a really good price though. It isn’t old at all but when all else fails and I can’t find something truly old, I at least try to find something that LOOKS old. Something my kids tell me I am these days!
Pieces like this are so versatile. You can literally use them everywhere!
It just happens to have landed in my living room for the moment.

Thanks, girl! I say if you can’t get the real thing (a truly vintage or antique item) then at least get something that fits right in with all the other vintage items and LOOKS old!
