A Sweet Taste Of Summer – Open Shelf Styling

It’s been a minute since I’ve shared anything other than the blog hop on Wednesdays or the French Vintage Friday posts….I”m not even sure if I remember how to do this but when Emily asked if I wanted to share some summer shelf styling ideas I jumped on board without hesitation.

Emily has some beautiful open shelves in her kitchen and I took the doors off one of my upper kitchen cabinets a couple years ago to create some open shelves. It’s almost as much fun to style the shelves as it is to style my mantel……in fact I do it ALMOST as often!

I usually mix dish storage functionality with decorative items. The perfect place to showcase a few more of my vintage treasures. A girl can never have too much space for that!

Since I have barely any drawer space in my kitchen, having a basket of hand towels in this open cabinet helps greatly! It looks cute too.

There may or may not be a few “new” cookbooks added to my “collection……what’s better than storing some beautiful vintage cookbooks on open shelves. It’s a great look on top of being convenient – have you ever noticed how many amazing recipes there are in old cookbooks?

Lucky for me my favorite peonies bloomed this week.

With these beauties around nobody will even notice if I styled my shelves or not!
