A Cup Of Inspiration – Volume 5

How is everyone doing this week? I’m having the most perfect morning with my fresh cup of hot coffee and you here for our virtual coffee date! It’s a lovely sunny day but the crisp morning air and just the overall feel and smell of the air is definitely changing in the past week or two. I’m happy to report that fall seems to be quite close and I”m expecting to see the odd colored leaf on my huge maple tree in my back yard any day now.

This week was so crazy that it’s almost too good to be true that it’s over. I bit off a bit more than I could comfortably chew when it came to projects. At some point mid-week I began to think I didn’t have a hope of getting everything done by the end of the week before I was having guests on Saturday but with the help of my awesome kiddos, we made it!

That said, I wanted to show you some things that inspired me this week. Are you ready?

This Keto friendly Broccoli salad looks so good and since I am being very strict about no carbs and no sugars these days to drop some very unwelcome extra pounds, I can’t wait to try it out!

Everywhere I turn these days people are sharing photos of their homes with prominent hydrangeas all over the place. I think it’s the perfect time to read Kim’s post sharing 3 easy ways to dry hydrangeas. According to her, now is pretty much the perfect time to be harvesting the hydrangeas if you want to dry them to keep for use indefinitely so read up before you cut those blooms!

I’ve been looking at t-shirts lately since I can use some new ones and I can’t help but be drawn to the warm colors of all the cute fall graphic shirts I’ve been finding. There are so many to choose from but I found a shop on Etsy that has so many I like for all occasions and every tee I looked at was 50% off! You can’t beat that! Check out the selection at CD Custom Tees and I think it’s free shipping over $35….

This foraged rustic fall mantel from Liz Marie is absolute perfection when it comes to neutral fall decor. I’d even like the mantel, if you please but I might have to settle for inspiration from this amazing work of art!

Now while I’m dreaming of one day having my mantel look like this, I suddenly had a craving for a Pumpkin Spice Latte. Don’t worry, I get those cravings all the time. Like 365 days of the year it’s fair game for me to want one. You can bet I get pretty excited about this time of year when Starbucks brings them out and I have to rush out and get one as soon as I hear they’re available. But what if you could make them at home any time you like?

Your wish is my command. Wanna guess what I’m going to be trying this week? You better believe I’ll be testing out this recipe for homemade Pumpkin Spice Lattes!

Because I was so busy with projects this week and a bunch of random commitments, I didn’t get to share as many blog posts but I did manage to share how I made my coffee nook in my kitchen from start to finish.

You can bet it’s where I will be brewing up my pumpkin spice lattes maybe as early as later today!

I also shared the saga of what happened when I accidentally discovered these antique mahogany bed frames and the domino effect that came about as a result.

I sure enjoyed our coffee date today and I can’t wait for our next one, next Sunday. I have been looking forward to them more and more each week!

For now, enjoy the rest of your day and I think it’s about time for another cup of coffee by now…..
