The 12 DIY’s Of Christmas – Nutcrackers

I have a crush on nutcrackers.

They always look so cute standing at attention in their little hats and boots andโ€ฆ..I have a hard time resisting them.

So of course I had to snatch these up when I saw them at Hobby Lobby recently. I’ve looked at them before and almost gotten them but this time – I was determined.

There are SO many different ways you could finish the little men but I had something specific in mind.

Normally this is a project I would probably use spray paint on but the weather was too cold for me to spray them in my garage or outside and besides, I had craft paint on hand rather than buying spray paint.

Two coats of gold metallic paint later andโ€ฆ..

Tiny, adorable little soldiersโ€ฆ.

Now keep in mind the MAIN reason I wanted gold nutcrackers was to use in my hutch but I haven’t gotten it all styled up for winter/Christmas yet. One of these days really soon you will most likely see them scattered around between my ironstone.

Seriously one of the simplest Christmas DIY’s ever!
