I’ve always loved that quote. It paints such a beautiful mental picture. The earth is laughing a lot right now in my corner of it. Flowers are everywhere.
Outside.
Inside.
In stores.
Along the highway.
Did I mention inside?
Oh yes! That’s right……
There’s nothing more summer and more French to me than flowers. I like to tuck them in here and there, fresh and faux, all year around BUT I like to sprinkle them a bit more liberally in the spring and summer.
Fall is for leaves but SUMMER?
I can’t get enough of these gorgeous pale pink faux dahlias right now…..
They work in every corner of my home but I’m really loving them in my living room right now. They added just the right touch to my summer mantel.
You might have noticed the fireplace got a change this summer as well. I painted the base tiles black and put a new coat of fresh white paint on the surround tiles. I will probably stencil them again at some point but for right now I’m liking the simple look of the plain white.
Did I mention I can’t get enough of these flowers?
I wasn’t lying.

You’re so sweet. I think I have singlehandedly purchased every one they had in stock at my local Walmart! Haha now I have to start buying the blonde fall leaves a few at a time with each grocery purchase so I don’t get caught but the MR and get myself in trouble! lol
