Come And See…The Christmas Tree! 2021 Home Tour

I remember saying I was going to really Deck the Halls this year and share spaces I don’t normally share. I kept my word to an extent but even the best laid plans sometimes go astray and that’s what happened to me this year.

I had the best plans to decorate my bedroom for Christmas for the first time ever. Really I did. But once I had spread all the Christmas cheer all over the rest of the house I realized there was nothing left to put in my room and I wondered why because USUALLY I have some things left over that I don’t put out.

And then it came to me!

Aurora didn’t live here last year so there went a whole bunch of my Christmas items…..

And this darling chippy little piece didn’t live here last year so there went a bunch more of my decor pieces.

And I also remembered….

…that I didn’t have a coffee nook with open shelves last year so there went the last of my winter/Christmas decor.

That means that I don’t have a Christmas bedroom to show you on this tour BUT it means that over the next month or two I am going to “have to” find and make some winter decor for my bedroom! What a chore that will be! haha

So now that you’ve seen Aurora, my chippy cabinet and my coffee nook all decked out for Christmas, what say we stop off at the kitchen to see how it got winter touches and maybe we can grab a freshly made cookie or two while we are there!

I’m all about the trees this year. Trees on top of my cabinets, trees on my shelves, trees at my front door, trees all over. My home is a little tree forest! I’m loving the natural winter feel they give.

I always enjoy seeing people’s pets in their photos, posed perfectly so often and I wonder how they get them to do that. Whenever I try to take a photo of any of my dogs they clown around and come to me and won’t sit still to save their lives! Well this time was different. Hope decided she should be part of my Christmas decor and she posed in practically every room I was trying to take photos of so pardon my little photo bomber! She goes everywhere with me and does everything with me so it is only natural that she appears in my photos, especially since she is sitting so pretty!

My living room is one of my favorite spaces to hang out. It’s always so bright and cheerful and that fireplace keeps us so very cozy and warm during the cold winter. The tiny dogs enjoy snuggling up close to it in their little beds and napping the days away.

There are multiple dogs photo bombing this time! My favorite addition to my living room this year has nothing to do with the winter decor. It’s the chandelier I finally added in place of the basic builder lights this house has had in it up to this point. Being that this space is completely open I kept the lighting simple so it wouldn’t look overly complicated when you see all the different lights from any one location!

As always I enjoy styling my mantel over and over.

It’s like Hope knows she’s pretty!

Even the Powder Room gets a touch of each season.

As usual my white tree with my vintage ornaments is in the dining room…..

Aurora standing tall and proud adds such a presence to the space that I can barely imagine not having her there. Has she really only been with me for a few months????

This is now one of my favorite angles of my main floor but I only recently discovered it by crawling tightly into the corner of my dining room.

I’m afraid that’s all folks. I will share my winter bedroom and bathroom with you once I get some winter decor made but for now it’s pretty plain and simple.

As a Christmas treat Emily is sharing her Christmas 2021 Home Tour with us as well. Just click on her photo below.

Enjoy!
