French Vintage Friday – Taylor, Smith & Taylor Gravy Boat

I’m all about fresh flowers and simple table settings these days. I like to collect mix and match China and this recent find is no different.

I have not been able to date this lovely little Taylor, Smith and Taylor gravy boat but I did find one online that is shockingly similar that was made in the 1940’s. I can tell you that the plant was closed in 1981 and just prior to its closing it was not manufacturing China like this at all anymore so an educated guess is that it’s likely pre-1970’s.

There is a stamp on the bottom which I am still trying to decode for further information. Meanwhile I will just enjoy this little darling all stacked up with old ironstone pieces.

Have a wonderful weekend, sweet friends.
