French Vintage Friday – Alabaster Lamps and Best Friends

Just so you know one of these things is my feature for French Vintage Friday and the other is…

well….

I’m not saying the other is either vintage or French BUT best friends are priceless….

I’ve admired Emily’s collection of alabaster lamps for a long time now but I myself have never run across any in the thrift stores and antique shops I’ve visited.

Maybe I wasn’t looking in the right places.

Or maybe it wasn’t meant to be.

And then a box arrived.

I recognized the handwriting immediately and couldn’t wait to open it. I knew there was going to be some amazing treasures inside because it was from my best friend and that’s what she does! Her taste is impeccable.

Imagine my shock when one of the things I unwrapped was this darling little alabaster lamp! I was basically speechless.

It’s absolutely perfect in every way…..

Well, except one.

It didn’t have a lampshade but I did have this one on hand and since it fit I decided to use it for now but I’m on the hunt for an equally amazing lampshade for this little beauty.

I can’t wait to put this little lamp all over my house in all the special places and use it with all my seasonal decor…..like these bottle brush trees, vintage books and rusty little jingle bells!
