Christmas in July: Inspiration for Christmas 2023

It probably seems absurd to be thinking about Christmas when it’s 250 degrees outside and you’re sweating your tail off but scary as the thought might be, it will be here before we know it.

That said, for our last Christmas in July post, Emily and I are sharing some things that are inspiring us for the upcoming Christmas season and some things we would like to incorporate in our decor this year.

Without further adoโ€ฆ.

The simplicity of this is very appealing to me. Sparkly chandeliers, twinkly lights and candles add just the right amount of cozy charm to an otherwise very neutral scene. I’m obsessed with those chunky knit stockings too!

After having recently brought in some dried hydrangeas and placing them randomly around my house, I knew I was going to have to try keeping the dried hydrangeas from getting all broken up so I could use the in my Christmas decor. Specifically in my tree!

Last year when Emily put ribbons on one of her trees with clip on candles, I was in love with the look. This is a similar idea. I’m loving the strings of beads with the pale pink ribbons. So simple but so elegant! This is a wonderful look not just for a tree. I’m going to see how I can incorporate it into more of my home.

Last year Emily styled a mantel using dried pink roses with greenery. It was gorgeous! Whether faux or real I loved the combination.

I’m unsure of the original source of this photo but I have linked it back to the website I found it on.

The combination here of the elegant gilt mirror, the carved chair and the room divider, paired with the rustic wood beams and wood plank walls is perfection. It really grabbed my eye and stopped me mid-scroll. I don’t currently have much of the really rustic touches but I want to add more.

Back to Emily again. Did I mention she never fails to inspire me? When she paired the greenery with those amazing faux peonies and the gold ornaments, I fell in love! What an elegant and romantic look. I need more gold and pink in my life this year with my greenery.

This simple, neutral tablescape caught my eye. With the great texture in the knitted runner and the amazing copper touches – how could you go wrong? I need more copper in my life.

Another example of a very simple and neutral tablescape. I’m absolutely loving the little houses. They’re on my Christmas DIY list for this year.

I hope you found some inspiration for your Christmas 2023 decor from the photos I’ve shared today. I’m sure thinking of all the things I want to incorporate or do differently. I can’t wait to see what Emily is being inspired by for this year!

Until next time,
