Are you feeling okay still or have you succumbed to “the fever” too?
Mine came on very gradually but it’s unmistakable now.
I have all the classic symptoms and I’m afraid it’s a bad case. Terminal, most likely, I was told.
The only thing that makes me feel a little better is to feel the fresh air coming in my window, hear the birds singing cheerfully outside and to dream of “better days” (aka when the ground is warm enough to start planting things).
I got to thinking about flowers and flower pots and I remembered the clay pots I made last year for my mantel. Do you remember those?
Such a fun project and I had so much fun styling and re-styling the mantel.
In fairness, I did warn you.
And what about simple vintage glass canning jars?
Every spring one of the first things I do is bring out my sweet little bunny rabbit. This was a gift from a sweet, sweet friend and I adore it. Melanie hand painted the little guy on a piece of rusty old metal and I bring him out as early as I can get away with, and keep him out as long as possible.
I’ve always liked birds, both real and pretend, but last spring for some reason they really appealed to me. I collected several new ones including this chubby little lady.
Little birds eggs were popping up all over my house!
But so were white tulips. Can you think of anything that screams “spring” more than tulips? I can’t. Especially white ones. Those are my favorites.
I made a cute little arrangement for my front door as an alternative to a wreath….

See what I mean about the eggs? They were showing up everywhere. If they all hatch, this place is going to end up lousy with birds!
The culprit was discovered here, nestled amongst some clay pots on my dining room table.
I had such fun creating this centerpiece as part of a blog challenge with some extremely talented ladies.
I created this tablescape using a centerpiece of eggs and some simple succulent plates.
And this! This right here is what I’m longing for! The early stages of my perennials and some nice fresh cedar mulch and lots of dirt under my fingernails.
I think my fever just got worse again. Before it gets too high and I risk having it affect my thought process, here are some things I’m getting inspired by for this spring!
I mean – who isn’t inspired by the Eiffel Tower, am I right? But just the overall feeling this evokes…yes please!
Everything about this inspires me. I love the florals and the beautiful chandelier and the seeded eucalyptus and the blush pink and the old, old books and the chair and the mantel and the mirror and…..I could keep gushing on and on but if you want more inspiration than your heart can possibly handle – check out Shabby Fufu!
There is no end of inspiration when you look at anything Terri has done from Simply French Market. Her Instagram account is eye candy and I want nearly everything in her Etsy shop!
This cloche is sold by ABC Glassware but I especially love how they’ve styled it here. The little nest and the natural elements, the pocket watch and little bird – it all speaks my language this spring.
And finally, one of my greatest inspirations on a daily basis, is my sweet friend Emily. Remember when she covered those clay pots with moss last spring? So cute, right?
I think I’m going to be making some myself this year.
It’s going to be fun to show y’all exactly what I end up doing for my spring decor in 2020 but this is just a peek at what is inspiring me right now and the look I’m drawn to. As always, I will be sure to share as I go.

It’s always fun to look back. You end up being able to see how far things have come and how many changes you’ve made to the house in the past year. I can’t wait to get started on the spring decor and some changes I have up my sleeve for my front patio.
