Sunday Flowers – 8/14/22 – Hydrangea Season

If you’ve ever visited my friend Emily’s website or her Instagram account, you will know that one of the things she is known for is her amazing flower arrangements. Some time ago she started sharing a lovely series on her blog every Sunday called “Sunday Flowers” where she shares flowers in every shape and size, foraged flowers and greenery and non-stop stunning arrangements. I can’t get enough of it.

This week Emily asked me to join her for Sunday Flowers and I couldn’t be more flattered. I have an abundance of every color flower in late spring and early summer and everything looks lovely but by this time in the season my flower gardens are mostly just green bushes and plants with one exception – hydrangeas!

This year my hydrangeas have done incredibly well and are so covered in blooms that I think even if I put some in every room of my house I’d probably still have some left on the bushes.

I’m not mad.

Some of them even come with friends!

I love the weathered barn wood with the white blossoms….

Then again they go well with chippy paint too.

And ironstone.

Not to mention brass.

I’ll just be over here tucking hydrangeas into every nook and cranny.

Don’t mind me…..

Until next time,
