Simple Fall Inspired Tablescape

It’s a beautiful fall morning and I thought I’d share a simple fall tablescape I created just the other day…..before I go back to my chores!

For me I tend to overdo things sometimes when I am styling shelves or creating a tablescape. I don’t mind that look – clearly I like it, but sometimes, just once in a while, I think that having something really simple is freeing and beautiful. I need to remember that more often.

This particular tablescape started with a simple set of napkins that I recently got from a wonderful little company called Wild Oats Interiors. I love everything this company stands for with their ethically made products. You are definitely going to want to go check them out and as a special treat you can use code STILETTOS15 for a 15% discount off any purchase you might choose to make!

Okay back to the tablescape….

I chose the mustard colored bee pattern and I love them! They are made with a very thick, quality material and the bees are just so cute. I am probably going to have to get the navy bee patterned ones sometime in the future but for now…..these fit right in with my love of French decor. I chose to bring out the bee pattern by pairing the with some mustard napkins I already owned and layering my ironstone dishes.

Another touch of mustard in the glassware and gold flatware tied with a green velvet ribbon was all the place settings themselves needed. Nice and simple.

I admit I stole the idea of tying the flatware with a ribbon from Emily over at LeCultivateur.

Due to my well known love of candles and especially brass candlesticks, I began the centerpiece by randomly placing a whole bunch of candlesticks. Next I cut some branches from my maple tree out in my backyard and placed them in between the candlesticks.

Then I took a wide mustard ribbon and wound it through the candlesticks as well. I finished this very simple tablescape with some faux sugared fruit.

That’s literally all there is to it! So quick and simple. The subtle fall tones pair nicely with the color of the wood tabletop and although there are none of the typical symbols of fall in this tablescape, the colors and textures create the feeling of fall.
