Jingle All The Way – Dining Room Tour

I’m so excited to welcome y’all into my home once again, this time to share my dining room!  If you read my blog post yesterday then you already know that I just hung these curtains the other day as the result of our latest Top Shelf Clearance Challenge!  It’s amazing what a difference some curtains can make in how cozy a room feels.  I’m not sure what took me so long!

Overall I’ve kept things pretty simple in here.  Don’t get me wrong – I love ornate, heavily ornamented, well flocked, dripping with sparkle, winter decor just like the next girl but this year I have found myself craving simple, natural, old-fashioned coziness.  I hope I’ve succeeded.

I’ve added some evergreen branches with tiny pinecones above the nativity, which I showed you as part of my front entry tour.   This furniture piece is something I got this summer for FREE, if you can believe it.  The story is here, and I have refinished it but as you can tell have not found exactly what I want for hardware for most of the drawers yet.  As soon as I do, I will show you how I refinished it!  I promise.

Over here I’ve placed a thrifted candle stand with a greenery orb, beside a copper bucket filled with rattan balls.

Obviously the main feature in a dining room is the table and that’s where most of my attention went.

I’ve used a simple burlap and lace table runner sprinkled with jingle bells down the length of the table.

For a centerpiece I’ve used a vintage tray and filled it with 3 wrought iron candle stands, some flocked and unflocked trees, a couple wicker trees, and some tiny twinkle lights.  I also tucked a couple cedar picks in here and there.

Can you tell I’m crushing on trees this year?

For the place settings I have kept it very simple with gold charger plates, mix and match white plates, a simple evergreen wreath and the little sleighs I got for my Dollar Tree Tablescape Challenge, but I spray painted them in a copper finish here.  I’ve tucked little wooden snowflakes into each sleigh.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  If you’d like to see some more great dining room decor inspiration for this holiday season, drop in on a couple of my friends.

  2. I love how you styled your dining room. I love the Holiday decor. I love the table and how you have it styled. The curtains are the show stopper. I love how you dressed the window.

Wow! I’m so flattered, Terrie. The curtains do make the biggest difference in that room so far. Other than maybe the chandelier. I can’t wait to put a rug in here!

  3. Your dining table looks beautiful! From the centerpiece to the place settings, all so well put together.
