From Our Heart To Yours

I’m so excited to share this post with y’all. Quite some time ago a few of us discussed the possibility of maybe doing some sort of a challenge where we chose something from Pinterest and all did our own creative take on it.

Well let me tell you, that simple idea has morphed into a large group of talented and creative bloggers and let me tell you – I can’t wait to read their blog posts and see their versions of this project.

First off, would you like to see what was chosen as the jumping off point?

It was this book page heart, hung by a piece of lace, on a black frame. The idea I came away with was making some sort of heart shape and displaying it over a picture frame but of course in my own style.

For me I’m not all into pink and red and hearts and angels for valentine’s. I have no trouble with the day itself and always celebrate it. I like the idea of a romantic meal and gift. I just don’t get much into decorating for it.

Originally I thought of neutral book pages for this reason but then turned to neutral flowers instead.

I formed a wire heart shape and then wired on hydrangeas and magnolias to it. I hung it from my picture frame with some ribbon.

Y’all know I can’t resist putting vintage books here and there and everywhere, right? Then of course there is my love affair with copper.

This gorgeous candlestick may well be getting painted at some point in the future but for now it’s still dark and still gorgeous. Loving it’s new life in my home. This chippy peony picture will forever be one of my favorites.

I may or may not also have a bit of a weakness for brass……

I find oil paintings charming.

Add a whispy garland and a fireplace and it doubles the charm.

Thanks so much, Cindy! Yes it could work through the whole summer for someone but definitely not me! I’ve already thought of some things I could add to this wall while editing the photos. I pretty much never stop changing my decor. It’s a constant thing around here! Lol. So glad to have been part of this too.

Thanks so much! We get a lot of gray and gloomy days in the winter so that’s what I was looking for. This was a lot of fun!

Yes I much prefer to keep a lot of my florals in neutrals quite a bit of the time. I don’t typically do much in the way of overt Valentine’s decor but more just suggestions of it. I really enjoyed joining this challenge with you! Thanks for stopping by!
