French Vintage Friday: The View From My Window

It’s Friday again. How did that happen? I think there was only about 48 hours since the last Friday and I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s because I’m not nearly as prepared for Christmas as I should be this time of year.

Haven’t you noticed how much faster something arrives when you aren’t ready for it versus when you are ready and waiting?

I’ve been fighting a cold the past couple days and it hasn’t helped that the days have been very gray and dreary. That always seems to make a person feel less energetic and more melancholy. I think we should add more cheer inside to make up for it, don’t you?

This should do the trick.

Since the view out of the windows of my home isn’t that great right now, I thought I’d focus on the view from some different windows this week.

Yet another vintage item that I’m rather partial to!

Windows. Sound weird? Let me demonstrate.

The perfect pairing with a tobacco basket and some seasonal decor.

Or added to some vintage frames on my mantel.

Vintage windows reflected in my French mirrored shelf.

I’m think at some point there will be a few more that sneak their way into my home. After all, the view from these windows can be anything you want it to be.

Until next time…

  1. Sorry you have a cold and hope you feel better. When it’s crummy outside and you aren’t feeling well it seems to magnify it.

I’m very far behind too with Peanut still not 100%.

Yes it certainly does and I know exactly what you mean. It’s the same when any of my kids are ill. It totally puts everything off schedule. Hopefully we can get back on track soon.
