French Vintage Friday – “Vintage” Art

Know what I like next best to vintage or antique things?

Things that at least LOOK vintage or antique!

While these may not actually come with a story of having been passed down through many generations and lovingly viewed by dozens of little cherubic faces, at least they LOOK like they have been.

While treasure hunting I always like to keep my eyes open for prints like these and I don’t pay much attention to the frames because honestly they don’t matter. I can always give the frame a new look or replace the frame.

You wouldn’t believe the price I got these two prints for and honestly I don’t hate the frames.

For now.

I have full intentions of keeping my eyes open for lovely vintage frames that will fit these prints.

In the meantime….

…I’ll just be over here sipping on icy cold sweet tea, cutting fresh hydrangeas to arrange in ironstone tureens and casting sidelong glances at these prints – you see, I’m trying to think up the PERFECT stories to go along with them.

They might not have come with stories but nothing is stopping me from CREATING some…..

Until next time,
