French Vintage Friday: Milk Glass Compote

Welcome, sweet friends! Happy Friday!

I’ve been so busy this week working out in my yard so of course that means my house isn’t in the greatest shape. Why exactly does it have to be one or the other?

Oh! Kids! That’s right. I remember now! ๐Ÿ™‚

I love this time each week though where Emily and I share something French, something Vintage or a little of both!

So for this weeks post I have something amazing to share! Yesterday I received the best kind of Happy Mail of all! The kind you didn’t know was coming because you didn’t order it yourself.

The free kind.

The “just because” gift kind.

My sweet, sweet friend Jessica surprised me with this amazing vintage milk glass compote filled with a hand poured soy candle that smells absolutely amazing!

Even the packaging was cute! Let me tell you, this particular small shop certainly has my vote! My kids had already removed the gorgeous ribbon from the box before I was able to snap a quick picture so it was even cuter when it arrived!

I’m not kidding when I tell you that I can smell the sweet scent of this candle throughout my main living areas even when it isn’t lit.

Can we talk about how much I love vintage things like this?

I’m so excited that small shops like RetroWix are putting their amazing candles into vintage containers rather than just some plain and boring ordinary candle container.

They have a website and also an Etsy shop!

This is not sponsored in any way, I just like to share things that I truly love and especially at this time I think everything we can do to support the small shops and try to keep them alive, is necessary.

I mean, how cute is this?

Okay excuse me while I go move my new treasure around a bit more and fluff and fuss and take some more pics!

While I do that, how about you go check out what Emily is sharing this week?

Okay, great!

Very pretty, I like it. I have all of my grandmother’s old Fenton hobnail milk glass that she had back in the 60s. Thanks so much for linking up with me at my #UnlimitedMonthlyLinkParty 12, open May 1 to 26. All entries shared if social media buttons are installed.

Thank you so much! I bet your collection from your grandmother is amazing and so special because it belonged to her! I hope you’ll share it sometime.
