French Vintage Friday: Mercury Glass Votives

Happy Friday, y’all! I really could have done with a couple more days in this week. I was on a roll on some projects and just didn’t get as far as I would have liked before needing to start cleaning up for the weekend. Oh well! There’s always next week.

This week for French Vintage Friday I wanted to share another one of my favorite things.

Mercury glass!

Now don’t be sending me all sorts of comments about how this isn’t REAL Mercury glass and the history behind Mercury glass and all that. Clearly I know these aren’t real Mercury glass and they aren’t vintage.

At least not yet!

Remember how I told you that sometimes I will share things that simply appear vintage to fit in with my style? Like my “vintage” toaster oven and my “vintage kettle” and so on.

Well this is one of those times that I am sharing something that fits right in with vintage and gives me the look I like in my home.

If it makes you feel any better these were thrifted…

I love how they look with all my vintage pieces around my home and I don’t think you can ever have too many candles!

I love mercury glass!!! These votives are beautiful!! I’ve only seen a couple piece of antique mercury glass in my life! I’m all about new versions of these beauties!!!

Me too! I love the look but as you said you rarely ever find it so reproduction types fit the bill for me! I especially adore Mercury glass Christmas tree ornaments!
