Favorite Things Friday – Pretty Pie Pans

So I was making a new pie to try something different for Thanksgiving this year.  I already knew I was going to take pictures of it so that if we liked it, I could share it with y’all.  Then I realized I had a problem!  I didn’t have any pretty pie pans to put it in.  I’m not kidding!  Functional yes.  Not pretty.  Who wants a pretty pie, served from an ugly “functional” pie pan?  Not me!  I need to remedy this FAST!

In the end I had to make my pie in a springform pan so that I could display it on one of my cake stands without a pan at all!  This got me to thinking….if I don’t have any pretty pie pans, maybe some of you don’t either?  Aha!  Enter “Favorite Things Friday”!!!  By the way, if you want to make my Caramel Pecan Cream Cheese Pie for yourself, you can find the recipe HERE.

Anyways off to Amazon I went to find us some pretty pie pans and here are my favorites.

I like this one because it’s very simple and unassuming.  It allows the pie to be the star of the show and after all, that’s really what you want most of the time, right?  This pan comes in a variety of colors but this one is called Wheat and it’s my favorite of the color options.  You can purchase this one HERE

This is the perfect pan for making that deep dish apple pie you’ve been craving!  It comes in this white which is great to go with any tablescape you might want to use this with.  Now I’m craving deep dish apple pie too!  You can purchase this pan HERE

With Christmas fast approaching, I thought this would be a perfect choice to add in for you as well.  I love that it is very neutral on the outside of the dish but as you serve the pie it begins to show it’s beautiful christmas pattern.  This would also make a great gift.  Just saying…. I included this one just because I like it.  I like the saying that is in the bottom of the pan and I like the colors in the bottom as well.  There are several other items also available in this line that are very nice.  Mugs, cutting boards and so on.  You may want to check them out as well if you like this plate.  You can purchase it HERE

I love this pan in general but it would work great for Thanksgiving especially.  Since that’s what started this blog post in the first place, I couldn’t resist adding this one in.  It would also make a great hostess gift.  Bring this with a pie in it and they get to keep the pan!  I mean, who wouldn’t like that?  There are also a number of other items available to match this.  You can purchase it HERE
