Faint Touches Of Fall: Dining Room Hutch

It was so much fun the other day adding some subtle fall touches to a space in our homes, that Emily and I decided to work on another space to share with y’all.

I’ve chosen the bookcase that is in my dining room currently. I use it more like a hutch for the time being.

Nature will generally let you know what looks right for the season and I like to take my hints from there. The colors, the textures, the coziness.

I’m really enjoying using this wheat all around my home this year. I only wish I had more of it…..gonna need to take another drive to see if I can find a harvested field with some leftover bits of wheat!

While I like sunflowers a lot and they seem to always make me think of fall, I prefer the more neutral white ones. At least inside my home.

I added some more wheat in this little candy bowl.

I love the color and texture that the decorative corn can create. I’ve added a few mini cobs to a vintage tin. The velvet pumpkins were a new purchase a few weeks ago and rather than pack them away for less than a month, I chose to just put them in this ironstone tureen.

I just love these little cotton pods…

I love how the colors in this canvas perfectly mirror the colors in the pears.

I hope this has given you some ideas of how you too can incorporate some early fall touches into your home at this time of year.

If you’d like even more ideas, please check out what Emily did at her home today. Just click on the photo below.

Thanks for stopping by. Don’t go too far….we will be back with another space in a couple days!

Until next time…
