Christmas Inspiration 2022

Y’all! Can you believe it is already November 1?

The months have suddenly started speeding by and since I like to take my time bringing out Winter/Christmas decorations and I want to be able to have the time to make some new things to decorate with this year – I have to get started.

Emily and I thought we would start by sharing some of the things we have found online that are inspiring our Christmas decor this year. Then each week for the month of November we will be sharing a Christmas DIY.

I loved the look of this crocheted garland. It reminded me of the pink velvet yarn garland I put on my mantel a while backโ€ฆ.except the fact that this is crocheted makes it wider and a bit more substantial to show up on the tree soโ€ฆ..this is definitely on my To Do list.

In fact, I’ve already gotten started and it’s SO easy to make. If you know how to crochet, that is.

The colors here are so stunning. I love the blush pink with the sort of mercury glass look. Add in some cedar or juniper sprigs and just WOW!

The green and white, winter wonderland look has always appealed to me and I’m going to try to get a bit more of this feel in my decor this year.

Where do I start with this one? The greenery covering this table and flowing onto the floor is jaw dropping! I love everything about this photo. The feel is absolutely incredible but when you really break it down it’s so simple. Mostly greenery and natural elements. I fully intend to incorporate more greenery each year as I can find really good prices on it. Unfortunately I don’t live where I can readily get fresh greenery to decorate with.

I’ve been wanting to invest in a whole bunch of flameless candles so I can have the feeling of candlelight without the danger of starting the house on fire, thanks to my energetic dogs. There’s just something about that glowโ€ฆ.

I don’t have a specific aspect of this tablescape that I want to incorporate in my decor this year, just the overall feel of this. Again I’m loving the natural elements with the greenery and pinecones and trees. The colors just really feel vintage to me the way they’ve added just a touch of beautiful red amongst all the other neutrals.

As you know my love language is vintage and no matter what I do it will be very vintage feeling. I’m not planning any spectacular and unusual color combination (although blush pink and white and gold would make the top 3 if I was) but I want to go more and more each year towards natural and rustic winter decor with touches of traditional colors amongst all the vintage pieces.

Yes, I plan on trying to add more and more vintage ornaments and pieces each year, as I can find them.

And trees. Always more treesโ€ฆ..
