It’s hard to choose my favorite, to be honest, because I have several favorites. After much debating and going back and forth I settled on my vintage style stockings.
I have admired all the vintage style stockings I see hanging on mantels and stair railings and all over the place around Christmas but I can rarely ever afford the ones I see and never seem to find any for a really great price so I did what I normally do when that happens. I make some.
They were super simple to make and I used some ticking striped fabric that I got on clearance so it barely cost me anything.
I’m pretty sure I am going to need to make some more. Maybe this year. Maybe out of old sweatersโฆโฆor velvetโฆ..oh so many possibilities!

Honestly it’s even harder to choose a favorite DIY of Emily’s than it is of my own because I love absolutely everything she creates. It’s no secret that I have long adored her little wooden winter forest though and every year I swear I am going to make one for myself.
Maybe this year it will happen.
Can you even believe that this pile of wood would turn into something so beautiful?
Maybe I should share a favorite DIY of Emily’s every day for a month. I might fit MOST of them in.
