5 On Friday: Five Fun Fall DIY’s

If you’ve been with me for a while, you might remember last year when Emily (Le Cultivateur) and I did a blog post containing 5 DIY’s for Christmas. We had so much fun with that and were reminiscing about it the other day….

Why not do another one?

Why not ask our friend Terrie to join us? She always has DIY’s on the go.

And so we did.

I’ll be honest, it wasn’t as easy this time as it was when I did the Christmas one. I’m not sure why. I even gave myself more time to prepare for this one.

Admittedly that meant I tried to accomplish some slightly more complicated DIY’s and perhaps that could be part of it. Anyways, a few of them didn’t quite turn out as expected and are still being tweaked for a later blog post. That meant finding something else to show you so I’d still have 5!

Ready?

So as to not make this blog post go on and on like the song that never ends, I’ve decided to do each DIY as a separate tutorial and link them here. You can click the links to access the step by step instructions on how to make each one that you are interested in.

Happy crafting!

Chalk Painted Pumpkins

So you’ve got some pumpkins that you purchased another year when you had a different vision for your decor and this year they just aren’t inspiring you but you don’t want to go out and buy all new ones….I’ve got the solution!

Acorn Wreath

Emily posted a picture on her blog post where we showed y’all how to slowly transition to fall from summer decor, and in it she had a darling little acorn wreath. Although that was not the focal point of her picture, it grabbed my attention straight away and I wanted to make something similar with some faux acorns I had gotten last year.

Twine Pumpkins

I’ve often seen little grapevine or twine pumpkins in stores and really liked how they looked but they always seem to be so expensive that I’ve never bought any. I decided to try my hand at making some of the twine ones since that seemed like it should be very simple!

Monogrammed Pumpkins

Whether you have a large pumpkin you’d like to put a word or saying on, or a smaller one you’d like to put a monogram on, this little trick can make a big statement for something that only takes a few minutes and a sharpie marker or a paintbrush and some craft paint!

Fall Inspired Wall Art

Do you have some old wall hangings or canvases laying around that you aren’t using anymore because they don’t go with your decor or you are tired of them? Let me show you a fun way to revamp them for fall (or any season really) and make some new wall art!

LOOKING FOR MORE INSPIRATION?

Look no further! Terrie and Emily each have 5 DIY’s to show you as well that are perfect for styling your house for fall. Just click on the picture to take you straight to their blog posts.

And I’m going to make another just like yours if I can find the smaller wreath base, which I couldn’t up to this point but I need to check a few more places. I wanna try to find some real acorns too!
